Cynotilapia sp "lion" from Mara Rocks

This cichlid was purchased from the LFS where it was labeled Cynotilapia Lion Mara. Looking at my CD "The Cichlids of Lake Malawi" by Ad Konings, it appears that this identification is correct. It was not listed as an Afra, like my Cynotilapia afra "Lion" was.

The above four pictures show the male.

I'm not real sure if the above is a female or a sub-dominant male. There was one C. lion in the tank at the LFS that had one egg spot and was holding. The dominant male was easy to pick out, but the rest were very difficult to sex by color or size. I thing I ended up with two males and three females.
