In 2004 I bought some full grown adult Tropheops sp. "Chilumba" Mphanga Rocks.  They are often called by the common name Red Top Chilumba.  Both males and females are yellow as juveniles and the males turn the stunning purple-blue color shown below:

I really can not recommend this mbuna to anyone.  Things started out well enough, but this guy turned out to be even more aggressive than the auratus I kept many years ago.  I had him with some very aggressive Astatotilapia aenocolor for about six months until one day he decided they all must die.  I tried to give him away but no one would take him (because I was honest about his temperament, I guess).

But then again...in a weak moment I bought a colony of ten little 1 inch Tropheops sp. "Chilumba" at the Ohio Cichlid Extravaganza in November 2010.  This time they will be in a single species tank of 75 gallons, to see how well they do with more room and as a larger colony.
